Compomotive polishing

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a set of Compomotives but are getting very slight oxidisation.  I am using Autosol to bring them back which seems to work well.

2 questions:

Will autosol stop the oxidisation by leaving a protective film?

If not is there a product that will do this?

If not is the answer coat them in a mist of wd40 for the winter?

Thanks for any suggestions

Phil

I wouldn't trust WD40, it somewhat corrosive in the long run I think. I have that ATF does a good job. I don't know about autosol but once polished, I would clean them and just wax them, that's what they did back in the time when American A/C where polished.

BELGOM ALU is what you want, good abrasion to remove the corrosion & leaves a good layer of wax protection.
