Wallet lightening

As some may know I developed a fault on the way to Stoneleigh.

I had a stutter when I applied power - I could get up to 70+ as long as I applied power gradually. Any hard acceleration met with a feeling of the car about to stall.

There were no warning lights and no stored fault codes.

So when I got back I booked it in to the dealers for check.

The result...... 2 weeks later and 2 cats + bolts + 2 O2 sensors changed.

The car now runs flawlessly but my wallet is severely lighter

Apparently the cats had collapsed causing a blockage in the exhaust. I was told that it wasn't a good idea to drive the car in this state as it could cause more damage so I left the car with the dealer to do the necessary.

They had to drill the bolts out of the turbo connection and then re-tap them.

should have gone aftermarket. in the states that would have been covered by the federal emissions warranty.

look at my exhaust thread, you can get super high flow cats for next to nothing, just need to have a shop weld them to the stock piping. hope that helps.
