shaman 3 1 Vehicles Report post Posted December 29, 2014 What is the general consensus on the benefit of running with the Flowlock valve fitted? I removed mine while chasing down a misfire (now cured), I'm now in two minds as to whether to refit or not. I appreciate it cuts fuel to the carbs when the ignition is off - is this a real (safety) benefit or just another component to fail in the future. I have heard it said that the Flowlock prevents fuel flow to the carbs when the car is parked on an incline! I can't imagine this scenario in the Esprit as the tanks are well below and adjacent to the carbs - should the car become inverted well then there may well be plenty of things to worry about! Look forward to the forums thoughts Cheers John.
