LotusLeftLotusRight
Every time I see a Citroen DS3 driving along I always think that the DRLs in its jowls are the same units as those in a GTE. Anyone else notice this or am I mad?
NedaSay
Oh Thomas! I feel for you you and the car, after all that you've done for the car/on the car. I hope you'll be able to get the car back on the road soon. Edited August 11, 2016 by NedaSay

I ordered the carbon fibre body kit directly from Germany. It's been quite the ordeal. We have not been impressed with the process at all. Some of the problems have had to do with the significant time differences between your side of the world and mine. The other frustration has been the reluctant willingness to sell me parts, but a stubborn near-refusal to provide any assistance or information in the build. But obviously body parts are available (or can be manufactured), and it is my wish that Thomas will have a rebuild in short order, and will still be able to enjoy #11 as it's meant to.

TheKevlarKid
They do look the same, however I don't think they are. There is a set of brand new ones on ebay you may want to grab Thomas - http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/lotus-evora-GTE-daytime-running-lights-/232023736762?nav=SEARCH

I actually can't imagine they were custom built, particularly as the light angle isn't right (they shine much too low). 21gg
They aren't the ds3 ones, as the reflectors on the Citroën ones are offset. Ours aren't. When I had my headlight out I looked at mine, it had a mansory moulding on the rear not a Citroën one. I agree though, I suspect it's off another vehicle. bingoking
Really sorry to hear this Thomas. Hopefully you and your passenger were OK, a little dizzy perhaps after spinning 5 times. Hopefully it will be fixable and you will be back on the road soon. Quote Join Lotus Enthusiasts Group Scotland here! and on Facebook
Stuno1
Oh maaaan! So sorry to see this. I love this form for rallying around fellow owners and already offering ways to get parts. Hopefully it won't be off the road for too long?

I think that is because of the angle they are installed at, the Citroen has them installed vertically and the GTE they angle backwards so you don't see them straight on where they are brightest. Popular Post TBD
THx, I've already passed the information to Komotec. To end the week on a better note, Komotec are certain that GTE #11 will return. Probably better than ever. 9 Quote If you have the choice between a Stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell don't forget the Nomex®! Captain, Lotus Airways. We fly lower! TBD
First off thanks to all for your support. Really makes me feel better and comfy in this group. Looks like the hardes part to get right now are the wheels. Im sure we will settle this out, but if anyone here has an idea, I'll gladly accept all help. 2 Quote If you have the choice between a Stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell don't forget the Nomex®! I suspect that they are the manufacturer (although that is just an educated guess on my part).

bingoking
I believe that Rimstock are very protective of the paint codes for these wheels and won't give Lotus the codes.
