Airbag warning sticker removal!

Recommended Posts

Anybody tried sucessfully to get rid of these damned warning stickers on the sunvisor?

They are a distraction and a constant remnder of the nanny state we live in, and I dont have a bloody kid in a baby seat on the passenger seat......grrrrrr!

Upgrade today to remove Google ads and support TLF.

Use a hair dryer to soften the glue and it'll come off nice and easy :D

not possible on >=  MY14 cars IMO (at least on mine).  The sticker is "pressed" into the fabric.  The visor is NOT leather.

Does come off on the <MY14 cars.  Here the visor is made out of leather.

Hmm, guess the visors can be completely removed instead?

I thought the same when I saw the sticker - on my RGB it just peeled off, but on the V6 I realised it would not be possible to remove ... terrible design - I hate those stickers!

Anyone managed to do this? I think I might have to remove the whole thing.

The visors do bugger all anyway...

If you find an easy way to get them off let me know.

I just took the visors off mine. Now I have modded my car I feel like a die hard lotus owner!

So why is that not noted on your modifications section of your profile? Huh?

I have a suggestion for not being able to see them (have them here too), don't look up. There is no charge for my service. :P

And now back to your regular program.

Have you ever sat in an Exige with them? Dominating is all I can say.

Have you ever sat in an Exige? What's an Exige?

I've only ever seen one on the road going roaring off into the distance and one other, which was a track car and didn't have the stickers.

Were they easy to remove?

I was told they just slide off - I bought some s2 ones to replace them, but not got round to it just yet.

Hopefully have a look at mine this weekend.

Out of interest were replacements expensive??

Just peeled the stickers off mine no problem.

I'm assuming, as it's a roadster, that the visors are some kind of leather? (Or leather substitute...!)

Anyway, they weren't stuck on very well - reckon had I sneezed or farted in the approximate direction they'd have fallen off.

I'm pretty sure I can't peel mine off as they are not stickers, I'll try and get a picture of them.

I was looking at mine today. The visors are covered in a material (not leather) and the sticker seems almost printed on. Certainly it wouldn't come off easily

Wiggled my visors off (they don't seem attached) and took a couple of pictures.  I don't think it's possible to remove the sticker :-(

Would leave them off however you can see the pins from the outside through the window, might see if these are easy to remove.

Ah, yes I see.

My visors are clearly better quality material... :D

And my stickers don't seem to be as big as yours Tony.
