Gold Elite

Recommended Posts

There is what looks like a stunning Elite at the Historic Brooklands Auction March 7th.

I have tried to copy the link but for some unknown reason it wont let me. Anyway, easy to Google. I was just wondering if we could have a sweep on the hammer price. I'll start with £9k.

Thanks for the link Chris. I have only had and have been looking at Elites for a couple of years, but I cant remember the last one which came up serviced including Cam belt, fresh MOT and requiring what looks like little or no work. Is this unusual?

It does look very good, but to me the estimate of £7.5k-£10k does seem on the high side.

Automatic and in need of further work and expenditure (it is on 10-15 year old rubber) My guess is 4.5-5k. Needs some other areas of improvement when you examine the pics closely and it looks like it's seen little use for years.

Its in good original condition but unlikely to have had any chassis work which would not have been changed. The interior is rough around the dyes. I would guess £8k

Very nice, I'd love to see it go high, but I'm thinking more like 4-6.

Well, its looks already I shouldn't be let loose at an auction.

Bit of a shifty description, that the previous owner, a "motor trader" :pirate: , has owned the car for 20 years yet never registered himself with DVLA. Surely this is some sort of offence? I'd expect better of an auction house to highlight that as a capital gain.

Sticking with £7800....

(Tempted to bid for it just to win sweepstake)

A key ring would probably do it.
