I wish they had used a sort of two colored back like the 3-eleven

Yeah me too. It could have been a very distinctive new look aggressive Lotus signature.

I asked Lotus yesterday when it will be available for us to review, awaiting their reply.

Yes. It's starting to look like they weren't ready. Good hype almost already forgotten by the public!

Broken record unfortunately springs to mind...

God I love it in that Battleship Grey! The more I see it the more I realise I may need to sell a child!

I would assume the Nevada testing is for a "Hot Pack". We used to have them at other brands I have worked for and normally includes upgraded Air Con, Coolling systems, Airflow etc. and tend to be for Middle eastern/Asian Markets. MJK always used to have his cars tested in Death Valley and actually did some of the Esprit work himself.

I would assume the ones being built are for Northern Europe.

Our Range Rover had that option and boy did that AC crank!

I hate the fact there are so many dull coloured cars on the roads these days, but it does look great doesn't it.

Rubbish. Be like every other and be totally biased - swoon over the interior quality, delight over the exterior looks, priase the class leading road holding and give it to the porkpie owners right up the ...... cough cough. Sorry got a tad carried away there, bit like a car journo with a slightly revamped 40 year old Porsche model. :)

Lotus have just tweeted a couple of pics of an Evora 400, in yellow with the black pack. Now that's more like it.  :scooter:

The first thing I thought when I saw the pics was that they've commented on how two thirds of the 400 are new, then the first picture they show is the side view which looks almost the same as the side view of a normal sports racer!  I guess the engine in the second picture looks a bit different.  But if the point they're trying to make is how different the 400 is from the previous Evora, they've not done the best to show that!

Bibs. Do you mean you're getting to review it next week, or you're getting to hear when you might be able to review it?

For anyone in the Dorset area, apparently a Lotus 400 will be on display on Sunday at the Classics at the Castle show in Sherborne

Unfortunately the 400 didn't not make it in timepost-1877-0-73479700-1437301765.jpg

Does look nice in that shot. Not been a fan so far but it's a grower which in my book is better.

Trevor.

I'll get around to it at some point.

Everything!

I'm most interested in how the car feels after the "diet".  That and how the extra power feels put down to the tarmac.

Every other article will focus on the greasy bits output and it's delivery, the handling etc. trying to appeal to a new audience which is great in itself & I can read it all there but many of us on here, including yourself, are already sold on the concept so also focus on the areas existing owners will be interested in.

  • Ease of getting in and out.
  • Is there any more real legroom or head height in the back (I DGAF myself but others will)
  • Switch gear positioning inc. window buttons
  • Lack of instrument reflections.
  • Lack of dash reflections.
  • May have to ask but have they sussed out a proper ariel/antenna system for the car so you can actually use the radio in whatever ICE is fitted.
  • Another ask is has the AC/HVAC been improved so you can get some heat out of it other than in one position only.
  • Do the wipers still sound like a 70's escorts?  By that I mean they should work without hearing every mechanical part moving and motor whirring. As a lovely UK summer you should get a chance to use them!
  • Is it still the same instrument stalks in the same relative position to the wheel. (many of us find them just a bit far)

That - and you are a jammy bar steward and I'm jealous.  :unworthy:
