What did you decide to get instead?

Centenary edition Aston Vantage V8S.  6 speed manual with super low miles.  I tried to keep my choice within the small, hand made British sports car family

I've not driven an Evora until last week. I drove over to Hofmann's in my 991 deliberately to make the back to back comparison. To echo Dave's points I was not disappointed with the cabin feel and qua

Good news!! I just got a call from the dealer.  Lotus sends apologies all around for the confusion and will be building the vehicle exactly as my order specified.   The color is officially no longer

I am looking to get a Vantage or Rapide next (unless the 400 pans out in US).  What model year is the Centenary edition?

I've spent over 4K this year on service/maintenance on the Evora and looks like another 1k+ to go before season ends.  Seems like the Lotus costs Aston money to maintain; might as well get an Aston...  For sure if the Lotus is like this next season, it is gone.

Centenary Edition is a 2014 Model year.  They only made 100 examples, so its a numbered car (for what that's worth).  Its a special gradient grey paint scheme, some other nice touches (solid silver emblems that are hand painted, etc).  Only 2700 miles on it, got an extended warranty on it to cover the scary BIG stuff that could go wrong.  Maintenance on avg through a dealer is $1500 a year (not counting tires), but I have a specialist shop near me run by a former Aston master mechanic, so it will be less than that.

Back on topic, I hope the US buyers with the car on order receive it soon and enjoy the he!! out of it

I heard the USA Evora 400's are finally shipping....

And for some reason..  all the automatics are being built and shipped FIRST.  *face palm*

I guess mine will show up next spring...  after the holiday break and blizzards.

Don't forget the 12" stack of pancakes with syrup and the warmed all night on the hotplate coffee!

I had heard they had to go to Sparco seats from Recaro's for 400 as they were wider!

Just kiddin'

I have seen a total of two pictures of USA 400's being delivered on the internet as of today...  that is all I could find and I was hoping for more...  many more.  But..  at least it cork has popped on the occasion.

They do look nice too.... :)

How could we continue the sweeping generalised stereotype of all Americans being lazy, fat, Big Mac chomping lardbuckets if Lotus supplied all the manuals first? :P

Aren't their manufacturers kind of trying to keep manual transmission alive whereas here in Europe we're being told it's either no longer technically possible or that "nobody wants it"...*ahem* Lambo *ahem*

Some of us don't care if 70 kg is required to press the clutch pedal!

Quite like that. From some angles it looks like a modern pumped up version of a Lancia Stratos

Have to agree on the steering wheel, I hate the heavy sculpting and personally think it looks really shit. Might be good in the hands, but looks shit.

I much prefer my slightly thicker original early S1 steering wheel.  Not a fan of the all the cut-outs and shaping to be honest. And have I mentioned before how I hate those friggin' federal spec side reflectors. My god they don't look shit, they just look total shite!  They would have to go.

I love the shape of the Evora steering wheel, but not the leather they cover it in. Generally very cheap leather in the 400's interior.
