Exige LF1 - What do I need to know?

I think you will find that the rear lower wishbones are alloy as per the Evora, but the top rear and front wishbones are not. I sprayed mine with ACF 50 the same as I did with my old S2, this did help stop the corrosion.

Off to see the car again tomorrow – I can’t wait!

The excitement is certainly building…I’m going on the pretext of dropping off the retention certificate for the registration to go on the car etc, but really I just want to see the car again!

I’ll speak to Chris whilst I’m there about some potential ACF 50 / Waxoyl treatment for the suspension and perhaps about the Pro Alloy 60 Litre fuel tank.

Thanks for all the really helpful info and advice – it’s great to know the LF1 (and indeed all Exiges) is so well thought of.

Please post the response, I'd love to know if there is anything we/I could do to keep the car in tip top condition.

And enjoy the view.

So I went to see the car again yesterday and to speak to Chris. The car is as wonderful as I remember it and Chris was as helpful as ever.

I've asked for the suspension and exposed areas to be treated with ACF 50 prior to collection and Chris agreed that this was probably a useful precaution given I intend to use the car properly and not limit use to just dry days...

The Pro Alloy 60 Litre fuel tank will wait for now - I'll see how I get on prior to the first service (after the running in period) and if I want to extend the range I may well go down this route at a later date.

I just have to be paitent and wait until mid-March now...

Mid March? Easy! I'm not expecting to collect mine (which is not an LF1 but has a custom paint job) until mid April!

Same. My car (also a custom paint job and custom interior) won't be ready until mid April as well and I ordered last October :(

It'll be well worth the wait though :)

You're getting liquid yellow Chris, right? That will be pretty unique, I was told they won't offer it any more given how long it takes the factory to finish it!

Yep that's the one. I heard the same and I guess I got in at the right time. What custom paint scheme have you gone for?

I've been really boring and gone for a near replication of the blue Sprint scheme that I had on my S2. But with the gold detail being painted this time around I'm confident it's going to look ace. Also going to have the wheels painted the same shade as the gold detail.

Yeah, I saw the red/white one and liked it but I think mine is going to look even better! That's a cup car and I don't like the gold wing mirrors for example. Also that car has the LF1 gold wheels which aren't quite the same shade of gold as the detail painted elsewhere on the car and as mentioned elsewhere on here are difficult to keep clean. Whereas, at the suggestion of Scott at the factory I've ordered the standard black wheels and am going to then have the supplying dealer strip them back and paint them in the same shade as the detail with a heavy dose of lacquer for cleaning purposes - they will get the paint code from the factory...

looks great - I was looking at those shoes today in GPR... very tempting.

I've had them a couple of years - they used to be my race boots when I was racing in the Fun Cup series!

Alpinestars I find are great for pedal feel, but they wear more quickly as the soles and leather are softer...
