Chassis brace - exhaust heat protection

Recommended Posts

I have got a new chassis brace for rmy S2 to accomodate the SJ tubular manifold.  My old one is pretty ropey as you would expect from its position.

Before I fit it, I would like to give it some heat protection of some kind.  Anyone ever done this and how did it stand up?  Or if anybody else has any advice on what to use, I would like to hear it.  Been looking at heat proof paint as a starter.

To early to say for me .

I used spraycan heat resistent paint and it looks good but I have only done 435 km since . Still I think this will do OK.

I POR15'd mine a couple of years ago. Seems to have worked. Or wrap some exhaust wrap round the bit nearest the manifold. Think I have some spare if you want it.
