If you have an Esprit S with the GMP4 electronic fuel injection, then you do not want section EMG...  That section is for the BOSCH K-Jetronic mechanical injected cars.

You want section EMH.

EMH is the Engine Management for the DELCO GMP4 electronic injected cars 89-SE-S-Sport 300, X180-R, S4, S4s, GT3.

ML is the electrical section with wiring diagrams.

Your S is the same as the USA 89 (non-SE)

Where did you get that section from? It seems it's not on here in the member section - and I have a feeling I'm going to need it's guidance soon.....

Cheers

Derek is correct, I was wrong.   I used to have an EMG section long ago, not sure if I still do, I was thinking it was for the BOSCH injection.

Right - I'm really really confused

I have a copy of Emh - bit my Ecu is not the one in the pinout diagram on emh4-9....

Here's my Ecu photopost-18482-0-34322900-1428144592.jpgpost-18482-0-62502800-1428144608.jpg

I have buzzed out the speed sensor wiring ( yellow wire and purple wire ) and they are fine. Not shorted to Gnd either

Does the emg manual refer to my Ecu???

Confused more and more by this special mismatch of a car

I think confusion Is what the "esprit s" is all about

It's running great now - I mean superb - idling lovely - boosting great - really flying - but have this annoying cel.

I've just ordered a new sensor from sj - I've buzzed out the wiring and that's good - so I'm hoping it's the sensor rather than the Ecu. I'd have tested the sensor - but my multimeter went bang yesterday on a mates 4 post lift

The service notes would help a lot if anyone has PDFs of it - it's for my use only

Thanks guys - the help is appreciated
