Yep, me too. If you're concerned about sparks flying around, connect the neg of the jumper car to an earth point instead. Once the Esprit is running, disconnect the jumper car's neg lead first before pulling the other three.

This is the first car I have ever "jumped" so when you say "earth point" do you have any suggestions? On the Esprit I can't find anything that looks like it would be good to use.

Thanks again!!!!

He also uses the negative batt terminal. The "earth point" he was referring to was on the jumper car. So your connection would be:

Esprit:

pos = batt

neg = batt

jumper car:

pos = batt

neg = frame

'03.5 Final Edition Esprit ~ 5.7lbs/hp

mildly modded - 430rwhp, 353rwtq

its much better to get a trickle charger from a local auto store. charge it over night, it willhelp the battery last much longer. a slow 2 or 6 am draw is much better than a huge surge all at once. Of course now would be the perfect excuse to buy a lightweight battery :D
