Minimum width of Garage opening for Elise S2 / Exige S2

Recommended Posts

Evening All,

Thinking of buying a house with an old fashioned garage... House is stunning but the garage is narrow.

It's right on the boundary so no scope to broaden...

It's exact 2100mm wide inside and the opening is 2000mm

I understand an Elise is 1860mm?!

Am I kidding myself?

S1 is 1701mm, it's tiny - and lighter, better looking, owned by more handsome people!

S2 is 1850mm. Both will fit and with the roof off they're a doddle to get in and out of in a tight space :)

Awesome, thanks for that.

Next question is about school fees and if I can still afford them AFTER the LOTUS and house

IMO thats not going to work, 25cm gap total, say 10cm pasenger side, 15cm on the drivers side (assuming the garage is long enough to manover left after the 200cm door.

Car door has to be circa 10cm wide leaving just a 15cm gap, you'd struggle to get a foot through that gap.

And in an Exige with the roof on you need the door pretty wide open to be able to fold yourself in..

Nice double glazed window - and convert the garage into something else........

Find a lovely big lock up unit to store the lotus in........
