An incorrectly badged Commemorative

What do you think chaps - Andy Graham has confirmed its providence. How easy expensive is it to 're-decal' it. I dont think the wheels are original either?

Its literally a 10 minute drive from our house so it would be rude not to go and at least have a look.

Thanks Pete. Why am I so crap at using the 'Search Forums' function?

May go have a shufti if SWMBO doesn't find me something better to do!

I think to redo it would cost about £10K

There was a virtually identical one at good wood this morning. Only difference I could see was the interior was gold rather than black. Same decals and positioning.

I could be wrong but removing the rear whale tail, removing the naca ducts. Redo or replace the turbo rear hatch (not a straight swop so some work there). Change the front spoiler, then respray. Its gotta be getting on for about £10k I would think.

OK, so what's the opinion then, worth it or not.

One for the purist - um no

Is it a bloody nice looking car - um yes

Is it good value? Well considering good looking g cars seem to be the thick end of 13-18k - yes it seems to be good value.

Would take off the turbo decals though......

Apparently several people going to view yesterday, so going to call back today and find the outcome, the guy was pleasant enough to chat to on the phone.

Something just doesn't seem to add up though? I don't know what it is, but I keep adding 2 and 2 and getting 5.

Will be interesting to see what people say that have seen it.

Is it an S3 bodyshell mated to an S2 chassis? I cant see much S2 left with the exception of the interior and even that is not right for a JPS.

I have to agree that as just a car, it may well be worth its starting bid, but if its one to restore, it would cost a whole lot of cash.

:)
