Exige S & Cup differences

Recommended Posts

Could anyone give a full list of what all the differences are between the standard exige s & the cup model. On magazine reviews it just gives a general list of the upgraded parts. Also is there anything you can spec on one car that you cant on another?

Thanks

One year warranty on the Cup, 3 on the S.

This has been done quite a bit elsewhere on the forum but your basic list is:

full carbon race seats

4 point Schroth harnesses

rear A-frame harness bar

quick release Momo steering wheel (non-airbag)

Nitron adjustable dampers

lower ride height

Lotus Motorsport set-up by Gavan Kershaw

2 piece brake discs

Pirelli P-Zero Corsa Trofeo tyres

baffled sump

plumbed-in fire extinguisher

front and rear towing eyes

external fire extinguisher and electrical cut off switches

internal electrical cut off switch

circa 70kg weight saving (no stereo, no speakers, no central locking, no alarm, reduced sound deadening, no mud guards)

bespoke interior trim

front access panel, roof panel, rear wing, rear panel and front spoiler detail all painted matt black

decal kit

matt silver wing mirrors

Genuine Lotus Motorsport product, comes with plaque and build number

Fit all the bits to a V6S and it will cost you more plus you still won't get the weight saving. The Cup car remains a bit mis-understood but it offers great value for money for anyone planning lots of track use. The V6S is the better bet for mainly road use but the Cup is very useable on the road and totally at home on the track.

Men of a well honed physique, superior driving ability and cat like reflexes drive the regular V6 as they have no need of the Cups lighter weight, adjustable suspension, oversized seat straps and fire extinguisher (in case your mate has a 991gt3) to be faster ......

......getting parked outside Costa.

You missed a to golden opportunity to add 'smug grin' and 'air of superiority' to the list Stu!

So thanks for letting me off lightly on this occasion!
