RPM "hesitating"! - Engine & Ancillaries/Gearbox - The Lotus Forums Jump to content

Recommended Posts

After starting my 2013 Elise S, the RPM on idle seems to "hesitate" as if car is going to stall, then suddenly stabilzes. If i rev the engine (while parked) and then lift off, once the rpm needle reaches the "idle line" it also "hesitates" or "flickers" as if it was going to stall...then stabilizes...

Anyone with same issue? What's to be done?

Thanks

Sounds like the idle air control. Have you tried resetting the ECU for it to relearn it's parameters?

Just disconnect the battery for more than 30 seconds. :)
