Replacing Chassis Coolant Pipes

G_Reaper

Question

Hi

Has anyone replaced the large coolant pipes through the chassis if so it looks like they have to come the front is that correct (looks like a nightmare!!). Has Anyone replaced them with straight pipes and curved rubber pipes instead?

Cheers Mike

It was an interesting thread but not about the main chassis coolant pipes which come out the chassis at the front and curve to a 90 degree bend. I cam only see the whole radiator and fans would have to be removed and possibly the front spoiler!!!

I think you're right Mike.   I read the other thread with interest as I recently changed the heater pipes from the rear.   I'm  not sure if they are routed differently on a G car as they clear the sump by a country mile - i.e. not an engine out job...

I use these all the time - ideal for drawing cables etc

I have seen the routing through the chassis - I reckon you could use these no problem to replace pipes.
