Just wanted to make a recommendation for Andy Wiltshire at Axminster Specialist Panels, who sorted me out this week with a custom made alloy header tank after I discovered a hole in my rusty old steel one...

I work in the soft drinks industry installing process rooms.  I use a team of welders who are just the best.  Look what they made for me.  Stainless steel.  Just got toget the bayonet fittings

Despite the great quality, I had a few minor setbacks with Andy's tanks. He installed the wrong sized top on one of the tanks. I had to find a new cap (or rather, two.. the first one I found leaked). Also, his tanks don't come with an earth lug. Aluminium isn't strong enough for lugs, and bonding two disimilar metals is not recommened. You'll have to attach the earth wire to, say, one of the bolts with a circular connector. Connector and crimping tool required.

I'm curious why Andy uses allen-headed bolts. A regular bolt with a philips head would have provided two methods of securing the tank. I had to find an allen headed bit for a ratchetting ring spanner. Also, the bolts he provided were too long for my installation.

I would still recommend him, though.

Cheers
Ian.

I haven't installed it yet but Andy had my old tank as a pattern so I'm not expecting any issues.

On mine he did put an earth tag on the bottom so my sensor should just plug in.
