Best exhaust for Exige V6

Recommended Posts

Happy to help out with some videos next time I'm in Essex for a parental visit, Chris. I'm sure Youtube needs some V6 2bular action.

My 2bular is going to be installed when the car is run in, so I'll post up some videos of it if I can. I don't have a camera I can mount, so any noise tests will need to be static.

Stu - I'm sure we can arrange to meet up if you'd like to hear it?

That would be great I've a GoPro if you fancy capturing the noise, and if Arun is around too I'm sure we can sort out some nice V6 imagery.

Sounds good! We should arrange something when I'm all run in and it's fitted.

This sounds good to me. Stock everything apart from Larini manifold.

(Not sure if I can embed videos or not...)

I've just had the Lotus Racing level 1 system fitted and so far all good.

It's a fair bit deeper sounding that the standard exhaust and once it's carboned up a bit should be epic  !!

Much prefer the look too.........

I've just spent an hour under the car fitting the larini back box. I was planning on getting the full system but now I can't decide whether to get the larini manifold or get the komotec kit in a year or so, so for now it's just the box.

I've taken for a little test drive and it's definitely louder with more of a rasp. It also pops and bangs a lot more on the overrun. I haven't used the full rev range yet as its only got 600 miles on it so need to wait until after the run in service before I can give a full appraisal.

It do prefer the twin outlet look too.

Nice one Diego, I look forward to the vids. Very impressed by the clip you posted also but I think that car had the manifolds too didn't it?

I agree that twin pipe look is better than the standard item, which looks too bulky in my opinion. I wonder if there is an option to change that part without replacing the whole back box? I don't think I'd want a system that is louder than standard.

Any decent exhaust specialist should be able to help you out with that one, Neal.

According to Jim Valentine (2bular) the standard outlet has a fair bit of mass to it as well, so it would be a double bonus getting rid.

Definitely the twin outlet looks better!

A big thanks to Chris this morning in indulging me as I really wanted to compare my recently installed Larini against his 2Bular.

Also sorry to the lorry driver who was asleep in the lorry park next door as we compared, needless to say he told us what he thought  of our behaviour  :censored:

It proved to be a very worthwhile experience though, all being well Chris will upload a video later, be interesting to hear everyones thoughts.

Oops. I read lorry and just thought a bigger than usual truck. We call them semi-trailers here in the civilised world. :P
