Hello All, & firstly Merry Christmas!

I'm sorry I've been away for a bit. A year and a half of no Esprit has made me a very bitter and twisted individual lol. But you've gotta move on,a nd I'm getting over my loss now, especially as I'm now expecting a

for 15k i would go and buy myself a nice lamborghini jalpa from rosso corsa, failing that a mint condition prova or mirage countach replica with a small block v8 eidlebrock lump.

failing those two.. i would just do a nuts and bolts rebuild of my esprit turbo.

however if i had 15k floating round my wife would have found it before i could ever get to spend it!

Nice to see you back - happy christmas to ya !

Too bad you moved up to Scotland - hell of a long way to come for a meet up !

Edinburgh is lovely though - I was hooked up at the Crowne Plaza hotel for a while fixing bits for Tornados a few times :)

If you can't find an Esprit up there dont pass a good series 2 Elise up, you can get a great car for that money.

Might have to pop up some time - have a good one !

Hi Guys

Happy Christmas

thanks for your kind words.... its made me feel all warm inside!!

I think my S4s is fantastic value for money, its just that its the wrong time of year or something. Since it was advertised I've only had one guy come and have a look, but he really wanted a black esprit with magnolia interior!! So I failed on both counts

James, if you are interested come and take a look, (as its Christmas there will even be some change - lets call it Christmas spirit!!!). I am not desperate for the cash, and a deposit will hold it for you.

Cheers

If its definately an Esprit then I would either go for a concours early car (S1 or S2) and keep the change or an S4S. I know Brian Angus told me at the Hethel day that in his opinion they were the best models......... I remember seeing the S4S when launched at the Birmingham Motor Show - they were on a stand with the Bugatti EB110 as it was around the Artioli period. Most came with Leather 'Comfort' pack seats but I would look for the 'Sport' seat option. The Sport 300 seats fitted look fantastic IMO. I also love the split-rims over the mono-blocks that alot of cars seem to have retro-fitted though I've heard they are a bugger to stop oxodizing.....Best of luck in the return to ownership.

If the moneys for another marque I'd choose a 3200 GT Maserati with 'those' Boomerang back lights - superb.

Does Marc (GPZ900R) still have his Turbo for sale? He spent a lot of money on it, especially the engine, and it would give you change to put by to keep it maintained in the manner to which it has become acustomed.

That's what I would do but I am a Giugiaro person. :D
