NW76
Great!!! Bilster Berg is one if my favorites ... Spa with Lotus on Track is always great as well. Touring Car Test Days in March next year is pretty much the season opener at Bilster Berg ... would be interesting to see whats doable in a 311 vs an EX460 ... The 311 is sporting a novice cross, and I'd guess from the helmet design, that the Radical driver knows the car quite well. The 311 with 475 and the close ratio box (and some decent suspension) is a _very_ quick car. Dave

mcx
It's a tricky one.. having had a caterham for a couple of years, I loved it on track but felt extremely vulnerable on the road.. it only had the aeroscreen, no weather gear. I guess the 3-eleven is somewhat more substantial and safe, with the strength of the tub etc but the great thing about the exige is that it is very useable on the road and you don't have to worry too much about the weather or cold. Maybe get one of each ?

Jack
I've owned a Radical SR3 1500 (MY 2012) and, in the hands of a good driver who is "aero-comfortable", it will turn "faster" lap times than any modified Lotus variant, be it a 311, CupR, Evora GT4, etc. -- and by a substantial margin. Is the Radical SR3 "faster' than any of the above Lotus cars in a straight line …… not even close. Btw, even though Radical recommends an engine refresh every 40 hours; if it it is maintained and operated properly, one can go much longer just doing track days. Hard-core racing, every 40 hours is a must to avoid a catastrophic failure. My Radical…..it is a fun car 2 Quote Jack2008 2-Eleven2015 Exige V6 CupR Track videos ... http://www.youtube.com/jackcup2010 Lotus Challenge Series ULTRA Class champion2012 Lotus CUP USA OPEN Class champion

The Pits
Welcome to TLF, a few of us were at Castle Combe last summer and enjoyed seeing your 311 in action. It was also my first drive in B&C's 311 so a very memorable day. Good to have you and the car over here. I take it you've seen the 430 version launched today?

Hello there Yes, I saw the 430 version launch today. Felt a bit sick but then, on deeper inspection, realised it's not a radical step forward from my "standard" 3-Eleven so that's saved me a few bob. I am, however, looking at a few choice Komo-tec / Hangar 111 upgrades, including the 410 to 475bhp engine conversion and big brake kit. You can never have enough horse power or stopping power...well, you can but I can't help myself!

Popular Post baronbennyt
I went silly over Christmas and bought a rare British heavyweight (only 10 RHD globally) to accompany my Lotus 3-Eleven lightweight. But I'm conscious of the forum so won't mention the big Jag again! Suffice to say they're chalk and cheese, or should that be scalpel and meat cleaver?!
The Pits
I happen to like XKRs a lot, true GT cars and set up to breathe with the road. That one looks proper OTT, I bet it's huge fun. I would imagine very firm for a Jag, Evora GT430 is probably the closest Lotus to that. Decals remind me a bit of the Exige Cup 260.
