Al
No photos as can't be bothered looking on line when offshore and all on slides or prints at home - Hillman Imp's and variants. Used to have an engine change down to 45 mins in my peak - too much practice unfortunately. Simca 1100 5 hatch thing, and one of the very first new fangled ideas for hatches. Nissan Cherry estate (what was I thinking in yellow) Capri's of all eras and had about 6 although we did bump into the Scottish Capri Club on one of our LEGS outings last year and their bumper stickers had the strap line something like "Always sideways, never boring" Opel Manta's coupe and hatchbacks - had both. AKA Cavalier Coupe and had one in a colour we described as Baby's First Movements. That had stobe stripes down the side which were worth 5mph standing still. Cavalier SRI's hatch and saloon in red and two tone paint with metallic graphite lower halves. (Made them go 10 mph faster.) Vauxhall Calibra Turbo 4x4. Fast but gutless and all top end which wasn't that high. Toyota Celica with the rounded bum and pop up headlights. (Still the car the kids talk about now as the nicest we had yet it was because of them not fitting in the back 15 years ago we got rid of it.) Saw one recently at a show and still a timeless design. Pug 205 XS. Wife shopping trolley rocket. Brilliant wee thing. Oh dear. I'm going to have to dig out old photos now when I get home I can see. Quote A LEGS man and proud to declare it! Al
Please Sir, I was on my way to school and the neighbours dog stole my homework and I chased after it but didn't catch it which is why I am late. I know, I know, but we have a crap internet connection offshore with limited bandwidth at the moment because out of contract and have linked up to a home router sitting 1 mile offshore in Las Palmas. All are sharing it on board and I have to wait ages even for pages here to upload. Photos and videos are asking too much. Your right. Must try harder! Quote A LEGS man and proud to declare it! Gold FFM DaveC72 Posted July 15, 2015 Gold FFM Report Share Posted July 15, 2015 Saab 900s. There was a time when they were everywhere - well, they seemed to be when I owned one. My 900 Turbo Cabriolet (Scissors or Clippers, Sir?) had the most monumental Turbo lag. At least until the turbo did a sick. Looked like I'd fired Chaff Charlie... Bazza 907
How about classic cars generally? You see them at or going to/from shows but apart from that are they now all too valuable to be driven on the road?
Numanoid
God, I loved the Monte Carlo when I was a youngster. I had a Polistil model of one in light metallic green, and was convinced I would have one when I grew up..Sadly, that did not happen. I am not sure I ever saw many on the road even in their heyday. Indeed, I loved the look of all of the Beta range, especially the coupe - Used to see those around.

910Esprit
As a more modern suggestion - Where did all the Corrado's go? You would assume the build quality was good. Were they all written off? At the other end of the scale I own a £200 Micra K11 (my station carpark car) - last made circa 2002. I can guarantee I will see at least 5 others even if I go on a relatively short run - They are still everywhere! Jacques
Lancia have indeed made some very nice cars. I think it was also Lancia held some nice mechanical specs at their cars, way before others did. Well sort of. Nice car! Cheers, Jacques.
