Rear Clam - Lotus Elise 111S - is 2004 & 2005 the same rear clam shell?

I'm replacing the rear clam shell of a 2005 111S , getting hold of a genuine rear clam is a nightmare. All I can get is a 8-12 week waiting on this part that I'm told by Lotus suppliers needs to be made from scratch.

The main Lotus supplier has a Rear clam in stock that looks as if it is exactly the same as the current one, but I'm told by the garage because it's for 2004 model it won't fit this 2005 111S, but I'm pretty sure the shape of the rear clam bodywork did not change from when the 111S was first introduced in 2002 through to the 2005 model which I have?

Does anyone here have any information to confirm this? As I really don't fancy waiting 3 months over the summer for repair when there's a part in stock that could fit..

PS. for reference the part number for the part that they have in stock that allegedly will only fit 2004 and not 2005 Elise is D117B0017K

I think the rover ones will be the same, there is a difference between the Rover and Toyota ones however and that kinda is the change over year, well 2004-2005 was.

 

Maybe getting mixed up with a 2005 s and 111s??
