Was listening to 5 Live this morning and they had an Aneasthatist on who said that there is a fatality rate of up to 20% on people gassed without exact measurements of Gas/Air. Any Burglary is nasty but that's horrible!

Possibly save your life. Check out this website.

These incidents are regulary reported. I don't believe them at all. The amount of gaseous anaesthetic agent required to anaesthetise everyone in an apartment (or motorhome for that matter) would require a tanker. Furthermore, to anaesthetise multiple people, of multiple ages safely with no monitoring, no airway obstruction or other ill effects by an untrained person seems very implausible. Finally, not one robber has ever been found with a huge tanker of gas or indeed with a gas mask!

I assume that in the bulk of these reports the anaesthetic agent was self administered and is commonly called alcohol.

Agree with Martin.

huge villa = huge amount of gas.

Huge amount of gas = heavy cylinders to transport.

Where do you get large amounts of anaesthetic gases? Lidl?

There are much easier ways to get money out of rich people - charity auctions for one.

 Too true! Looks much worse on an insurance claim too!

Remember seeing this on television a while ago, think it was in Cyprus or spain.   Crazy really what people go through

to steal from other people.  At least it did not end up like that Russian cinema hostage situation

One of the only good things is that hopefully no violence ever gets used I suppose that's the only good thing :getmecoat:
