Hi all.

I'm in the market for a new car, something more exciting than my current Nissan Maxima.

Love the looks/performance of the Elise.

Unfortunately, I need a car reliable enough to get me to work everyday, and occasionally tote a child around. It would be nice if this car lasted 5-10 years. Is the Elise the right car for me, or should I be looking elsewhere?

Hello there,

As far as I know, the Elise is reliable. Autocar and Evo magazines have run long-term tests on them and had no problems and got great fuel consumption, a vindication of Chapman's philosophy of lightness.

By the way, this forum is for Espits not Elises but the Elise is a great car.
