hi i own an 85 esprit turbo and have a feeling the turbo unit may be on its way out, does anyone know how much a reconditioned unit costs or if there is any other turbo unit i can fit to it ? cheers andy

Best thing to do is contact ITS Turbo on Tel: 01132854922 They can recondition your turbo or supply a brand new one. I have bought 2 turbos from them for various cars and they have always been the cheapest and most reliable. I wouldn't change the type of turbo as the garrett unit is surprisingly robust and reliable when compared to other manufactures. If the change is performance related then the easiest and cheapest method is to rejet the carbs and up the boost through the wastegate as the original turbo is capable of producing more than enough boost. Make sure your turbo really is on way out as its quite an expensive job to do for no reason. Good luck cheers chris
