Well, let's get it started! Got my 2002 lights from LPBC, not the best fiberglass repro I have seen but I do have a fantastic body guy who can do anything with fiberglass. I hope to get the seats back this week, then drive it over to the body shop to get these installed and the front and rear bumpers repainted and clear bra put on.

It's too bad they don't make them without the 'V8' logo embossed into it.

Yeah, I agree, but she'll be going in to the shop in the next couple of weeks and that'll be filled so you don't even know it's there. Spent the whole day in a cloud of fiberglass dust cutting and fitting the lights. There is a lot of material that needs to be removed for each light to fit into it's respective location on the panel, then the material has to be removed from the rear tailight receptacles to fit the light pod into position. I got the panel fitted and it's a pretty good fit. I'll let the body shop finish fitting and drilling to mount the lights. There will need to be some filling and smoothing of the gel coat as there are a few surface imperfections and cracks that will need addressing. I'm quite pleased with the look of the round lights! I may just have the body shop repaint the spoiler too and have them extend it up 2 or 3 inches like the X180R!

...I wonder how much of a market will be for converting all these poor cars back in about 20 years

Seriously, looks good, good job :)

But I still prefer the 'yoda lights B)

Probably not much! I prefer the round more modern lights. I bought the car with the full intention of upgrading every possible aspect of it!! Mwuhahaa Mwuhahaa!!!!!

Thanks, Once the body shop gets done with them they will look like they were born there!

I need some more body work down the road as the car will need a full respray. I will just get the lights fitted and filled then painted along with the front and rear bumpers and the spoiler... Here's a snapshot of the lights fitted and bolted on the car. I got everything drilled, shaved, installed and now ready for the shop.

Are those the newer LED versions of the Elise lights?

No, they were another $400 for the elise lights. These didn't fit into the budget as my seats are still at the upholstry shop getting redone in new black leather, so there's $1500, these lights were $1400 and the paint work will be another $2000! Wife'll crap if she knew I spent this kinda money in the last month and a half!

Did anyone else notice the fab Elise US Spec side marker LED's at the Hethel day in October?

We reckoned they looked superb. The track fitter we asked said you can get them fitted to UK cars as an option. Top extra I say.
