LF1 Steering Wheel

Finally after a year of ownership of the LF1 I have had the Steering wheel replaced for the correct item. What a difference! far better feel and grip. SHame it took so long!

In their infinite wisdom, Lotus decided to fit the LF1s with the standard V6 wheel that you hardly ever see fitted  (the one from the Elise / late S2 Exige) as most V6 have the chunky premium wheel fitted that's part of the interior packs. Cheeky as I've seen it commented by someone before that all the LF1 promo shots featured the chunky wheel.

Odd move considering how well appointed the rest of the LF1 interior is.

Yea. Big difference, plus you don't keep pressing the horn when turning. Lotus have been very good about it though in my experience, replacing them under warranty.

Looks like the premium version, however the red central marker is non standard, but a nice touch.

I know the red marker is non-standard it was done by the previous owner.

Hi Paul,

The first owner put it on. I believe the marker is actually a dark red tape. I think it looks good so have kept it on.

The car is away being detailed at the moment and it won't be back until later in the week.

When I need this to know in which direction I need to go for, I will retire
