I am trying to track down a car I send to own , I came across this forum and noticed someone mentioned it may be in Switzerland ? I,d really like to buy this car back if I can find it ?

Hi Mel and welcome - I'm sure Steve T or Barrie will be along soon but looking at my Essex spreadsheet XKD 50W Essex No.13 - Chassis 10937 - was originally sold by the Cubleys Dealership to a company called Europa Wholesale and the only other note I have on whereabouts was rumoured to be owned in Monaco - though I have no images or recent info on that car.

Just to add looking at a DVLA enquiry - theres no current MoT for it and it was last UK Taxed in 1987 - though if it has gone overseas there is a chance it could still be around somewhere - Good luck!

Hello Mel, I'm away for the next few weeks without access to any information I might have. As a matter of interest with reference to Nello's vehicle inquiry what year did you sell 013 and who did you sell to ? From memory 013 is in Geneva where it has been for many years. Steve T

Thanks for the information chaps , I owned an s1 registration VOP 200S first back in around 1985 for a couple of years before selling that for the Essex car I think in 1986/7 I only had it fr a short period as it was troublesome and I then bought an almost new 1987 Turbo HC .

In hindsight I should have kept both the S1 and the Essex , however if I could buy back either or both would be great , I'll keep looking and searching !

I haven't got the delivery date to Europa but the new vehicle PDI date was October 28th 1980.
