Splodge s4
This will be the 4th time we get up to Oxford & every year theres more cars in the car park. This year the S4 will look a little different. As we are entering the Britball run a week or so after the car should be covered with all their logos & gumpf & badged up ghostbuster stylee, Ghost buster logos on the doors, proper amber flashing light bar on the roof & generally looking like idiots. Dont worry its not a permnant thing but hey its for charity...

New route is being devised this week and tested by Rob E (aka driver training champ), Paul C and myself. tinywillyuk
It does look a spectacular venue and I am determined to make it this year! Missed all previous ones.. and with a week to go there are only two wheels on the wagon, no rear suspension and just discovered my steering rack is leaking from the top seal.. So I'm stocked up on PAS fluid, have programmed the mobile with the AA and RAC numbers, just in case and now just need some time with the tools.. ..and Ive invited a selection of lovely ladies to occupy the passenger seat (and drape across bonnets in photos if needed..) in the vain hope at least one will say yes.. So fingers crossed on all counts.. ps anyone heading up the A24 from the Worthing area?

Hope you lot don't mind me turning up in the ugly car though (well I know many ppl don't mind at all but it's polite to ask...) hopefully I can tag along on the hoon at the back as well - I appreciate it's an Esprit event. Looking forward to meeting the usual suspects + folks I haven't seen in a while. Also be great to hear from Brian & Lotus again. Anyone dropping in from my neck of the woods wanna do a coffee/meet up (Clackets lane ?) gimme a hollar !

Paul C
As a newbie could someone tell me what goes on at the meet and are all welcome to come ? paul <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are most welcome. Format is, we all meet at one place (Get there a bit early and chat to the many Esprit owners). there were 50 Esprits last time. Then we all go on a drive with a stop halfway through. We end up at a beautiful country estate and have dinner in the stately home. (including a talk by the guys from the lotus factory). B) If you want dinner you MUST e-mail Dermot (link on this thread). This is a stunning location and well posh, we went out there for a test run on tuesday and i could not believe how stunning it was. I'm hoping we get to use this place again! If you are in your day car, find out here (just ask!) if someone can give you a passenger ride. It will mean they have to get you back to your car at the end, but thats only about 20 mins from the end point.
Evil_Dr_Fish
* Paul is of course completely lying... but we are on a recruitment drive and he is trying to sell it.... It is much more like a Masonic Cult... Outsiders are usually frowned upon... Funny handshakes are the key after which we usually get straight on with Hazing the new members (usually involving paddles) and then the ritual virgin sacrifice! * I may have made some or all of that up Quote "When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
