Just been for a blast in my S1 and ended up on the A1 sat in a traffic jam due to a minor accident. It's almost freezing out and I've got the fans on as my car is over heating hahaha

Hope you made it home OK. If the interior heating could keep the temperature down, it shouldn't be a major problem? Likely just a fan not working or bad coolant flow to the radiator?

Yes I made it home fine it's normal on an S1 for the thing to start over heating in traffic... it's part of the 'fun'. I've got 3 brand new Kenlowe fans on my re-cored uprated radiator and it manages to bring the temperature down eventually. So far it has never got into the red on the temperature gauge but I've never been stuck in traffic on a really hot day... yet!!

I feel for you Paul. I struggle more with hot air in the engine bay when in traffic, making driving at low speeds difficult, with all that popping and banging and stuttering. Keep meaning to fit an engine bay fan. All adds to the "fun" of driving an S1. I look forward to the day I go for a drive without a feeling of apprehension in the back of my mind.
