Group 3 child seats....

Which one are you using? We currently have a recaro young sport which is groups 1-3 do pretty bulky. The group 3 seats look a lot more slim line with a far slimmer back thus more leg room. 

 

Any recommendations?

I'll be looking at the maxi cosy riodi with Isofix as that is 3.5cm more narrow than the recaro Young sport.

I've always used a Britax Evolva 123. However, as the kids have got older/bigger I don't use anything in the rear.

In my other cars I use a Britax Adventure which is a group 3 but it (as well as all other group 3 seats) only provide the same seat belt coverage etc as the rear of the Evora anyway. Essentially the seats in the rear are a Group 3 seat size. The other option is a booster cushion, depending on the size of child. Have you looked at BubblBum's?

Isofix seats tend to push the base out, so best trial fit first.

I did look at the bubble bum but she is far to small for that. Someone had recommended the recaro Milano which looks even more shallow than the maxi cosy. The recaro Milano looks to be 6cm more shallow than the young sport while the maxi cosy looks to be 3.5cm more shallow. I'll definitely trial fit. I'll have a look at the thread. Ta.

Thanks for the advice chaps. Having done some more digging I bought the recaro Milano. It means all the seats are still recaro which sadly I do like! What a difference it has made! Roughly 4-5 inches more leg room. It also means I can actually fit my daughter behind me and the second nipper (when the eventually come) behind my wife. So it will work 4 up and I am 6 foot 2 and my wife is 5 foot 7. Need more carpet down in the back now though.
