Need some help to know how to fit the linkage to the gearbox. What is the bracket on the Picture and how should it be fited?

I whant to get rid of it and just fasten the cable with one nut on each side of the hole in the clutch "case"...

Had the same issue a few months ago.  However I ended up mounting this bracket on the upper bolt of the slave cylinder.  I have tried to take a picture for you.  I now have a pretty decent gear change.  Bracket is shown as item 11 which suggests to me should be mounted as I have.  If you become a forum member you have access to these drawings which can be extremely useful.

I have just searched for the drawings as I am a member but cant find anything.  maybe I am wrong.  On your car rods 26 and 27 are either/or.  I think the earlier cars had 27 and later 26.

The missing info from the facing page of the parts manual for S3 and  Turbo G cars

#26 = A082F4053F Gear change Front Tube

#27 = A082F4052J Gear change rear tube Prior to '85MY

#28 = A082F4108J Gear change rear tube for '85MY onwards

Normally Aspirated - and lovin' it!

Bracket goes on the top bolt on the clutch slave cylinder. The cable adjustment is critical...it is the crossgate setting, and is the usual problem if difficulty is found selecting reverse. Check for wear in all the crossgate linkage, the clevis pin and the bellcrank bearing and the pin on the bellcrank that moves the crossgate selector in the gerabox itself. To get reverse, the cable has to be pushed...and cables don't like this much...so any lost motion manifests itself in being unable to move the crossgate far enough to get reverse.

Neither of my two S3's have had this bracket and I have always managed to get the adjustment pretty good for gear changes.
