2x Rear Pirelli P-Zero Tyres

Recommended Posts

Brand New Pirelli P Zero Tyres 255 x 35 ZR19  rear tyres for an Evora with 19″ rear alloys.

Unused, unmounted, straight from Lotus, still wrapped in the Lotus tape.

Bought in anticipation of my Evora tyres needing replacing, but with no Evora, I have no use for these!

Hi,

I am in need of a pair and am fairly local in Dorking. If they are still available I'll take them. It's too late to call the number on the add hence the reply here.

cheers

-Chris

Just realised this is an automated post and not started by the seller, doh! I'll call in the morning. I did say it was late. :-)

Chris,

You need to go to the article itself (in the Classifieds) and contact the seller through there. This is just a feed for notification. Seller may not see your reply above at all.

Thanks Guys, I realised I had been dim and contacted the seller via text last night but I was too late.

As you say Gareth, these are available in the parts sale and the seller kindly reminded me of the link. Its a bit more than the tyres advertised but still a good deal.

cheers

-Chris

You can get these new from Kwikfit for £123 each, P Zeros and P zero Rosso fitted, balances, valves and old tyre disposal. Also you can opt for mobile fitting to make it even more convenient!

I've just ordered a pair for my A5 255/35/19

Hi Bibs,

The only difference I can see if that one is a Z rated  (on tyres website) and other is ZR (lotus ones). With the style of driving I am doing, I doubt this would concern me? From what I've read, ZR rated tyres is an old term from the 90's and I believe they've now dropped the 'R as this just means radial, which nearly all tyres are now. So the Z rated tyres should be a correct fit in my opinion.

Z or ZR speeds over 149MPH

W upto 168MPH

Y upto 186MPH

If the tyre has a letter a the end then this will signify additional speed info such as maximum speed or speed exceeding.

Regards,

David

For the Evora they need to be the Merc fitment, marked M[0] on the fronts and M[01] on the rears.

A guy on here once fitted the equivalent Audi fitment (correct size and P-Zero still) and took them off within 500 miles as they ruined the car for him.

I heard that too about that about the Audi spec PZeros. Also after talking to Dunlop about fitting Maxx Sport TT tyres when I was looking at changing (I'd already discounted Avons and Michelin Pilot Super Sports weren't on my radar) the specialist I spoke to at Fort Dunlop said stick with OEM rubber - so I did!

I know Pirelli do several different versions of the same PZero tyre (AO= Audi OEM spec, AM8 = Aston Martin, MO = Mercedes etc.)

Out of interest, why didn't you consider the PSS?

At the time I couldn't find any significant feedback on experience with Michelin Pilot Super Sport vs OEM Pirellis on the NA with 18/19s - maybe I should have asked on here in the Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres really, but that's hindsight.

On reflection Pirellis were the safe bet given the low annual mileage I do (handling trumping tyre wear at that moment in time). Michellins are on the radar for next time though :).
