What happened to this prototype?

I'm sure many people have already seen this website concerning a red prototype Esprit but for those like me who hadn't here's the link...

Interesting car, The petrol fill would make an insurance liability company cringe. The thinking of the time is obvious and the end products today certainly do it justice and show the lineage.

I can see were there would be little interest in a non running prototype. A serious Esprit collector might put a roof over her head and just maybe try to finish her out. Just getting parts for a G car can be trouble some.

But imagine the free form things you could do to make her whole. Someone should look at getting her under roof at least.
