Popular Post Bibs
Following on from the success of our first event in 2014 (pics) and last year (pics ) we're doing it all again! This year we're back on the grass airstrip. It's well surfaced (planes land on it after all!) so no worries about getting your Lotus stuck! The event will be on Sunday the 8th May (hopefully we'll miss the April showers!) from 10am to 5pm. There will be a concours d'elegance with prizes again, and the chance to have your car pictured with Concorde plus a group shot on the famous banking in the afternoon. Please see separate threads for these to book your slot. Since this is within the Brooklands grounds you'll have to pay entry to them but for that you also get access to their whole museum and other exhibitions so well worth the money. There will be catering on site again, parade laps for the concourse with commentary from Guy Munday from 1:15pm to 2pm and the Silver Arrows will be putting on a display. Date: Sunday 8th May 2015 Timings: 10am - 5pm Concours Parade/Lotus Demo Laps: 1:15pm - 2pm Cost: FREE We have a limit of approx 320 cars so please arrive early (9am to 10am) if you'd like to park with the Lotus display. Latecomers will struggle to find parking as MBW & Brooklands are still open to the public and have a couple of thousand visitors between them on the weekends. Our Lotus parking will be signposted, just follow the signs This year to make the event more accessible to everyone we'll be marketing it to a wider audience but would appreciate your help in spreading the word on other forums/clubs, everyone is welcome too so not just Lotus clubs. A poster will be available shortly too! Make sure you 'like' the facebook page too where you can check in to the event, post your pics and receive news and updates as they happen. https://www.facebook.com/TLFInternationalLotusDay Please add your name/car below. The discussion thread for this event for your questions, suggestions is here.
