Brake servo on the S3 and Turbo before they switched to Bendix brakes is a Girling Supervac type 28.

The shaft seal which fits into the recess where the master cylinder bolts on is available from http://www.northwestclassic.co.uk/

It only takes a few minutes to change. According to the Northwest Classics guy the rubber diapragms rarely fail and the only other issue is when the body rusts through and leaks which means binning it.

Point to note: Some of the rebuild kits include an o-ring which people mistakenly think fits between the master cylinder and the servo. This does not go here, in fact its not clear what this is for. There is an aperture at the bottom of the master cylinder flange which is a vent and if this is blocked it will cause vacuum or pressure to occur in the space between the servo and master cylinder when the pedal is pushed.

For information for all I was at a car show yesterday. I found a brake servo on a D 1986 Ford Capri "Laser" which was identical to mine.
