That's very sad - bet it goes for more than Edd paid for It last time.

The interior looks really crappy - and they swapped that - what a real shame.

im sure it was destined to go abroad in the show - I wonder exactly what happened - it really did  look much much better than that on the tv !!

Looked better on the tv - god I really do hope kylie minogue doesn't look like that off tv - that'd be another illusion shattered

i reckon it will go for more than Edd paid last time though

Everybody knows what has been done on the engine, LOL,

otherwise let Wheeler dealers buy the car back, and make a other episode!

What a shame. Maybe they did it, maybe not. It looked as if had been done somewhat. Or maybe they are wheeler dealers? ha ha.

I guess if thisis what it looks like in the inside, then something must be in need of some sort of attention on the exterior and underneath.

Kind regards,

Jacques,

Nobody does it better - than Lotus ;)

Definatley worth a punt and getting back on the road if someone is looking for a project that has been featured on TV. It would make a great magazine article about putting right the damage done by the TV boys.

They did a proper patch it up to flog it restoration I am not surprised it did not last.

Hopefully someone will save it and not part it out, I think the interior is repairable if you have the skills and spend the time. (I have fixed worse) If had more time I would do it.

No, it's just "reliced", you know, as some boneheads take great guitars and chew them up for "mojo"-ness....geez. Hope some body saves it, I'd be willing, but I'm in the states.

I'm not so sure it was a proper job, when it went round the track in the post-restoration drive it was putting out a lot of smoke that looked decidedly blue.

This from my post on the Facebook page..

Remembering the programme, it was bought by some bloke for either his son or his son-in-law...can't remember which.. and was supposed to be going to Gibraltar, iirc. WheelyDealy replaced the interior ... Steve at S&J told me he was going to bin it(!) and the whole job was a ...er.....'trifle' below par.

Someone else had the best definition of WheelyDealy..."They could f*ck up free ice cream..."!!

They would have spent far more on that car than they claimed.

it was smoking blue smoke like a complete bastid on the test drive. After changing the oil and cam belt - all was well - and half the bits bolted on the engine looked like new !!

Yes the strange self-tensioning timing belt.

It simply would not have been feasible economically to have fixed the smoke issue. I think they just spend as little as possible on it commensurate with having enough footage for a show. Which is that TV is all about really.

On the left of the fascia it looks like they didnt put the screws or rivets back in which secure it to the A pillar and someone has leant on it and it has collapsed.

Would love to know exactly what they did - but it looked like new alternator, water pump, other bits and I bet the had new expensive bits inside that engine

i thought it was smoking just as much afterwards.

I remember noticing they had replaced some of the exhaust manifold studs with bolts ugh.

Actually I wouldnt mind seeing that again, is it online anywhere?
