Actual s bhp

Often factories state HP figures. I wondered how accurate lotus figures to the stated 345hp?

Anyone got dyno results?

A couple of results on the thread linked below from an Evora dyno day at TDI 3 years ago.  My S measured 318 and Paul was slightly lower prior to his mods, which took his S to 351.

Interesting, so of the two stated in that thread they are roughly 20hp under the claimed 345??? That's pretty significant.

Mine was tested by an Italian magazine and was around 340 bhp but the torque figure was better... I posted it somewhere here but can't remember where...

Ta, that's the kind of variance I would expect. 20hp or so is massive difference.

I think that you are confusing 'fly' and 'wheel' BHP. 

For the red Evora S, the 312bhp (at the wheel) was extrapolated up to 351bhp at the fly. ("Guestimate at the fly (plus 12.5%) = 351hp.")

That car is now mine. FWIW, I am due to get it back on a dyno in the very near future so I'll post the results when I do.

IIRC, a different air filter element (K&N?) and a Larini backbox so nothing dramatic.

Oh ok. Neither are really performance mods then. In which case that's a good figure.

curious which model - NA or S - has a proportionally better performance improvement from a full exhaust system, all other things remaining the same.
