Given that the flap in the exhaust opens at 4500 rpm, surely a lotus should do a software upgrade so a combination of buttons keeps it under track limits? The Exige will do this. Its a bit odd that the oh so capable evora is effectively track banned!!

Both the Exige and Evora open the valve at 4,500rpm, it opens to reduce back pressure and protect the engine (it's official called an Engine Protection Valve after all!). On the Exige, it opens at this engine speed, the button doesn't stop that and it's the same on the 400.

It's actually pretty amazing in the 400 when it opens. I'll not mention what speed you're doing in sixth for it to happen but it's a wonderful thing!

Doesn't involve 3 figures by any chance?
