Ccd
Great video, but he mostly side stepped the issue. The main competition for this car is a Porsche of some form, though he did say he liked the 410 better as a daily driver than the Cayman GT4. The other interesting thing is that he seemed to have liked the 410 better than the second generation NSX and in his video on the NSX, he really liked that car. Be interesting to see if he gets his hands on the GT430 if and when it gets to the States and what he has to say about that car. Given the GT 430’s price point, there will be no getting around comparisons to either the 911 GTS or GT3.

He won’t. That was one of the last (if not the last) ‘One take’ videos from Mr Farah: PS Is it worth pointing out to him that there is somewhere on the Evora to clip the fuel cap whilst refuelling?

Bravo73
Once you’ve opened the fuel flap, there is a little lip on the left hand side of the hinge. The inner rim of fuel cap latches onto that. Edited to add: see, just like that!

Loquacious Lew
A couple of very minor errors. We're told that we don't get the 410's tune in the States. It's the same as the 400 here due to the painful requirements it would engender to certify the 410 as a new car, so US 410s are rated identically to the 400. And we all know the gas cap trick, right? A good review and fun to watch as Matt goes gaga over our favorite sports car. Quote '17 Evora 400 MT

The Pits
Lets not even go there with the 'extra' 10bhp! Car does look damn good fun on those canyon roads and sounds amazing. I'll agree that the supercharged cars can be inconsistent in responding to throttle sometimes. My V6 Cup could be also. Only a minor annoyance but I can't remember that being the case with the Evora S though for whatever reason. Get one right though and there are few more satisfying downshifts out there. I still have a massive soft spot for the Sport 410 and still don't know why more of you haven't got one. B&C are having an Evora test drive event this weekend (weather permitting I guess?). Go and drive their black demo car. You can thank me later.

I can think of a very good reason why more, myself included, haven't got one. It's called "cost to change"

Popular Post Rainmaker
Test drove the local dealer’s 410 Sport, a 2017 model in signature silver with IPS and the black lightweight wheels. Just wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Big mistake! 2 minutes on and I couldn’t keep from smiling. Couldn’t stop thinking about it. Lovely steering, awesome suspension. Coming from an Audi R8 V10 Plus (recently sold), an Aston Martin V12 Vantage S and a tuned BMW 1M, the car seemed a bit underpowered just a tad. Maybe 50 more HP and a bit more torque? Nonetheless, couldn’t stop thinking of the car. The next few days were spent researching the car. So there’s a BOE manifold and a BOE CAI. That should do the trick. Spoke with the dealer’s owner, who happens to be a good friend. Agreed a nice discount because it’s a 1 year old car (less than 150 km on it though) and inside of a week from testing it, it’s mine! Having driven the car a few times since delivery (2 days ago), it is as lovely as I remember during the test drive. The seats though. While I fit and the sides don’t dig in to my thighs enough for it to be a problem, all that wasted space on either side of the seat! My only complaint about the seats are they are too short that it really lacks thigh support. I can imagine it being an issue for long drives. A quick call to the dealer and they were offering to order the carbon sparcos but I figure I’ll be adding back weight I paid dearly to keep out. The IPS had a slight delay but nothing that would be a problem I think. Should be fun for the track....reason I got the car actually. Wish the dealer optioned the darker trim ring for the ac vents but I think I can take care of that myself. The aftermarket radio is, well, crap and is only good for the rear camera. I hope I can wire it so that I can turn it on at will, the view through the rear slats is dismal. They should have just blocked th view completely. I end up taking my eyes off the road longer than necessary to struggle to make out what’s behind me. All the niggles are addressable so I’ll take the bad with the good. And there’s so much good! I’m spending the next few days needing the brakes and running in the engine so she’ll be ready for testing at the track on Sunday. I have 800km more of driving before Sunday then. It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it! This is going to be so much fun! Here she is:
