Upgrade today to remove Google ads and support TLF.

this is general question to anyone that owns a car with louvers on the tailgate: when you wash your cars, don't you get the engine bay all dirty as well? I am genuinely intrigued!

Well it gets wet but once you've dried the car off just a matter of wiping a cloth over the engine bay.

I've not noticed this as a problem - but then again I don't normally clean the engine bay.

Only 'problem' I have with the louvres is that at night it makes traffic behind you appear to be flashing their lights which keeps catching your eye in the mirror..

Even without louvres, after I pressure wash the car, water droplets find their way onto the rear window (between the passenger compartment and engine bay.) Gotta reach in there with a microfibre as the last step of cleaning :)

Yep. And when you open the boot the vent below the rear window drips all over the supercharger   

Oh life really isn't worth living. Must sell up. :hrhr:

I was at @Stratton Motor Company today to collect my Exige after some warranty work and took a moment to admire their new arrival being a very nice 410 in black with yellow highlights in the cabin.  The Evora is a really stunning car and their 410 looked very nice - @JayEmm maybe another video opportunity?

I really like the look of the Evora, the carbon work Lotus have got on these cars is top draw!  A 410 would not be out of place parked up at Casino Square, it easily competes and the best thing is you don't have to pay the price of an average house to get that supercar feel. I've yet to hear one roar in the flesh but I know I'll love it!  I keep finding myself wondering if it would be a good daily.

I resisted the urge to sit inside the cockpit as I fear I may be catching the "Evora virus" which I've heard can be expensive and difficult to cure!   :)

@M4rk I have already shot a 410 video, I just haven't released it yet. I've never tried a 360 Cup though...

Tell us more about how it behaves on track pls!! I presume yours is manual? So a 410 BHP against a 600 BHP Double Clutch V8!! I'd love to see track time analysis on the 410 around Silverstone and Spa now. 

If you can really get that level of performance out of it then it goes like it looks!! Is what I hoped it would be and I need to go sell my kidney for one!!

Sorry, a 458 Speciale well driven (pro) can do a 2:41 in Spa ... dont think you can get below 2:45 in a street 410 ...

Keep in mind the tires differences as well :)

The 410 is on PScup2. Was the Ferrari on PSS or semi slicks ?

410 goes about 3s faster around hethel track than the 400. Remember that 1,5 to 2 is only due to the tires :P

On the track, a driver's ability at a given speed level, familiarity with the car and willingness to push are far more important than any horsepower / tyre comparison.

Case in point from 3 days ago:

The porkers raw power is impressive on the straights. Would frustrate me hugely on track the way you close up under breaking and on the twisties just to see him roar away on the straights. But then you could have the Evora 400 AND an Exige 350/380 Sport for the price of the 911 Turbo.  I know what I'd rather have. :)

Caste Combe is a fast circuit they added a couple of chicanes to slow thing down a few years ago but still quick - 3rd or 4th gear (no 2nd gear corner)

Manual yes.  I tried the IPS/auto on track before and it isn't fun. Way too slow for track IMHO
