Red esprit GT3, 40k miles - anyone know the car

The pictures show a car that was owned by a friend of mine until a few months ago (it's pictured on his drive). It was a beautiful and very original car. I introduced the new owner to him after meeting at a car show. The new owner is actually a member on here but I notice he hasn't logged in since last November after only a few posts. He liked the car but was swinging back and forth between going back to Ferrari ownership.

The advert states it's in Sutton Coldfield, whereas I understood the new owner to live much further south - might have got that wrong though. The pics also show a V8 wing, whereas he said that was the first thing to hit the bin.

Unless someones pinching photographs, it's a cracking car. If the seller's name is Mark it's genuine.

Perhaps you should look at this car  http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/esprit/lotus-lotus-gt3-esprit-coupe-------------1998/5221312#vpTGZEkeKvLtuE9k.03

Much cheaper and looks like a really nice car.  It's located in Scotland which makes it a trek to view but worth considering, I would think.

Nice looking car, even with a fairly high mileage that is a  great price to get your hands on a GT3.  Personally i think you stole it getting it at that price. :)

Enjoy the car and keep some updates coming on your new ownership.

Regards danny

A pound for every mile it has been driven. It does indeed look lovely. Up until yesterday and my first ever track day, and first (doh!) in the Evora I would have seriously contemplated buying that.

I do wish Paul Matty would take that bloody engine noise of his website - scares the shit out of me when I've been working quietly then go to his site and ......vrooom... at full pelt from the speakers, then everytime you navigate. More irritating than elevator music and babies that scream incessantly on planes.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

No the Matty car has the earlier dash, the Midlands car is newer.
