Blockley tyres

Recommended Posts

I was speaking to the blockley tyres man at a recent car show asking when they might do a front tyre for an Esprit as they already do 205/70VR14s for the rear... His response was that they would need to sell 500 tyres to break even with the retooling. The rears are £190 so I guess the fronts would be similar in price so for about £750 you could potentially have a matching set of VR rated tyres..... Food for thought?

Hopefully 205/60/14...

Glad someone spoke to him. I've had zero response from 2 emails I sent asking the same question. Blockley are well respected in the vintage car fraternity and I'd be delighted to to have a matching set of the them on the Esprit. Maybe we need to look into what other cars of the era used the same tyre size and try to drum up some interest that way? I know Jags and Ferraris of the time used the 205/70 size so he obviously has a market there.

Put my name down for a set!
