Colchester meet - 15th May

Would anyone be interested in a meet just North of Colchester? The landlord of a local pub is a Lotus fan (used to have an Elan) and was keen for us to arrange something.  

If enough are interested then the landlord was keen to lay on various things. Just gauging interest for now. Perhaps aim for late April.

If memory serves he suggested a Sunday, which could be a good idea as we can combine a car meet & meal?

The guy seemed very accommodating, I'm sure he'd reserve the front of the pub for Lotus parking

Tough crowd. I'm trying to sell two houses, but another one, and might be changing jobs, all at the same time.

It will likely be May but I'll check available dates with the landlord - he promised to lay something on.

Right, bowing to peer pressure, I have spoken to the landlord of a pub called the Yew Tree, which is in Great Horkesley (CO6 4EG), and he is very happy to cater for us. Provisionally, I have suggested Sunday 15 May, at 2:30pm. He will lay on a sandwich, chips, crisps, dips, etc buffet for less than £6 a head if people are interested.

The landlord, Paul, is an ex Elan owner, and Lotus fan. He also has a friend with a 400, so if the planets align, we might have 5 of them there (really convenient for us Stu@R555WRS so no excuses) plus any other Loti; all are welcome.

Let me know if you fancy it. I will then firm up numbers and details.

Paul will also block off some parking. The pub is a lovely traditional thatched one so some good photos are guaranteed!
