leather/vinyl interior parts

Recommended Posts

my interior is retrimmed in a variety of materials, seems that some is leather and some is vinyl..   seats are original leather I think, looks like the centre console and rear seats are new leather, door cards and dash are vinyl leatherette, the rest is leatherette.

I`m guessing that it was all leather originally.    what about the roll bar and side of the roof coverings, was that headliner or leather?

Im not bothered about most of it, but I would like the dash and door cards as original, do you think i`d be able to find original red leather door cards and inserts anywhere for not too much money? or would I be better off getting them retrimmed?  I may consider getting the dash retrimmed in black leather as (I guess it was) original, its red now..   I like red, but its a bit too red!

cheers,

Mark

I'm quite interested in the various different interior trims as well, red is unusual I've only seen a few pictures online, got any pics of your car interior?

My Elite interior is identical to this photo below apart from the steering wheel.  The roof edge/roll bar trims on mine are the same cream fabric as is on the door card inserts and seats in the picture, not sure if this was the same as the roof cloth or not as my roofcloth was completely missing.

  • 2 weeks later...

those inner panels for the console, by where your knees would be, they dont fit for toffee on mine, are they secured to the tunnel with any fasteners at the console end?   the little metal tab that holds them behind the switch panel surround are pretty much useless (ive drilled mine and screwed through the surround to hold them fast.

they look pretty well fitting on the above pic.
