Lotus Elise S2 – New Engine & Thousands Spent

Recommended Posts

2001 Lotus Elise Racetech. 68,300 miles (but may increase slightly due to use) This is an early series 2 car so the lightest of all the S2 variants. It features a desirable early long tail roof which to many is prettier than the later shorter roof. The car is finished in Arctic Silver with contrasting blue interior. The paint is original and as you would expect from a 14 year old car, is not perfect all the way round but still looks great. Not long after I purchased the car it suffered an engine failure. Unfortunately the original engine could not be saved so a low milage (approx 46,000) K Series engine was installed, along with a fresh clutch. The car has had adjustable Nitron suspension fitted along with a GEO from ES Motorsport. Making it handle superbly. Around £5,000 has been spent on making this car great again. I have also recently fitted a new black soft top.

MOT Until Feb 2017 – No advisories.

Work done:

Low milage engine

New Clutch

New Water Pump

New Cambelt

Nitron 2 way adjustable suspension

New Black ‘long tail’ roof

ES Motorsport GEO

Braided Brake hoses

2x New Yokohama AD07 (less than 800 miles on them)

New Pagid Rear brake pads

Fresh brake fluid

Fresh gearbox fluid

In addition I have replaced the old front speakers for pirated Infinity speakers and installed a Sony Head unit.

I do not wish to sell the car but I have two Elises and this needs to make way to fund the other project.

£10,975 ONO
