Anyone fitted extended Type r front splitter with standard rear wing?

Wondering if would be detrimental to handling without balancing with more aero at rear!

Aero needs to be balanced. With a wing only, in high-speed corners (eg 100mph+) you will experience more understeer than if you didn't have one. Similarly, with a splitter only, you'd experience more oversteer. The reality is though that aero only really has an effect at these speeds so if your car is used on the road only, you can add a splitter with little detriment. On track however it's a different kettle of fish and you'll need to carefully balance the aero to achieve the desired effect.

I asked this when I was at Motorsport, and yes of course they advise not to. However my opinion is as Bibs', from a pragmatic standpoint.

My aim is still to have both at some point next year :)

There was a really good test in EVO magazine some time ago where they tested different Aero options to a CUP R and showed the results. It was a really good article and very informative, really annoyed with myself that i've misplaced it!

What it did show was that a Guerney Flap made a marginal improvement to downforce. At the time this was in addition to the CupR wing. However it did make me think about combining the front CupR splitter, with a Guerney Flap added to the v6 standard rear wing. Maybe this could be the best of both worlds. Im still yet to test it.

Don't know how you guys in Europe go with navigating local roads, but over in Oz we have to be extra careful going over speed bumps/sloped driveways. It looks like the Cup R splitter sticks out even further (and lower?) than standard....still looks great though!!

Another issue might be if you did it and only used the car on the road, no problem. If you move the car on and the next owner tracks it, without maybe completely understanding what has been done, it could cause all sorts of problems for him/her.
