Mad Zero
Thanks for the links - the ones in the garage section were too small and the LEW wallpapers are for members only but I did find a nice shot of a red S3 turning into Group Lotus (cheers for the link Jussi!) - so thanks to whoever owns BCL754Y. The guy in the pink shirt had to go though - sorry! Edited February 4, 2007 by Mad Zero Quote Forum: n. fo

Bibs
Why is that? Why would you not want to support what is a very expensive resource to run which you are current benefiting from? You're in disagreement with hundreds of members and are losing out on many Esprit related benefits. Why would you not want to support what is a very expensive resource to run which you are current benefiting from? You're in disagreement with hundreds of members and are losing out on many Esprit related benefits.I beg your pardon? I'm in disagreement with hundreds of members? How? I suggest you adjust your attitude mate - I joined this forum to talk about Esprits and share my enthusiasm for them with other like-minded people, not to get patronised and bullied into spending money on something I don't want. Furthermore, if you now regret providing this service for free - don't take it out on me okay!! In any case I probably would've joined ClubLEW had you not patronised me on the thread about Esprit 4 Sale needing updating - "..it doesn't take a genius.." maybe I'm not a genius mate but I know how to conduct myself on a public forum and be polite to fellow human beings! I hope other members will reassure me that being rude to people isn't a prerequisite of Esprit ownership? Quote Forum: n. fo
Mark Blanchard
Hey, Mad Zero, that Bibs you're talking too. If you don't like them, there are plenty of other Esprit forums you can join. Quote Mark www.lotusespritturbo.com

It's entirely possible that I've missed something along the way but as far as I'm aware ClubLEW is optional(?) - I don't yet have an Esprit of my own and I've sorted myself a nice picture for my desktop so there is no hurry to join LEW, in any case I didn't appreciate his 'genius' comment on another thread so I turned his offer down. Now why am I being accused of being in dissagreement with other members etc? ...and why are you now telling me how much effort and time he spends on this forum if not to insinuate that I am in some way ungrateful or unhappy with the results? bigsi
you know normally i dont say anything, this time i will. let me tell you something. i suffered a stroke new years eve and the people on this forum have supported me every damnday and every minute of their time that they can, not that they had to as they have never met me, but because they choose to. myself and my family have suffered with the related problems that i am still continuing to have yet... and this is the corker i dont complain, and it pee's me off when snipy little remarks are made on forums about this persons comment and that persons comment when there are people and things in a much worse off state that you or they are probably in. this is a family community here and as such we all get along, however yes there are rules and we all follow them thats the way it is, but at no point would i be-little or make stupid comments again bibs who, since new years eve has worked tirelessly to support me with the help of the clubs members, who takes the time to call me and message me to make sure im ok and so is my family and wife. who takes most of his free time maintaining this forum for free, runs it for free and helps to organiose some of the biggest lotus owners events we ever see, yet he never asks for thanks, gratitude or aknoladgement in this. you will have to excuse my typing as its a little ahrd for me to do it at the moment. i suggest you stand back, take a deep breath and relax, the world isnt such a bad place and niether is this forum, my outlook has changed on life, i could have a full blown stroke tomorrow and never see my son grow up, never be there with my wife when he takes his first steps or goes to school. do you really think taking an attitude helps. i dont know you, you done know me but take my advice it doesnt matter, what matters is how you live your life, be happy mate thats all it takes. let the bad things pass you by and the good things stay in your life. reguards to everyone simon
Mad Zero
Well, I am truly at a loss as to what I can say or do - nobody is even slightly interested in explaining what I've done wrong so it can be sorted - just more assumptions that I am in some way unhappy or wound-up about this mystery 'rule' that I don't agree with so I'm between a rock and a hard place - I mean it's not as if I've even made any complaints for goodness sake! I asked a perfectly reasonable question about the Esprit 4 Sale and got shot down for that - I reject Bibs' offer to join ClubLEW to get a wallpaper and I resented the attitude in his response to that, where's the crime? What did I do? Anyone? Quote Forum: n. fo
Bibs
As I said 'buzz', it's your attitude. I run a few forums with over 11,000 members between them and you are sticking out like a sore thumb, all red and angry. When you say you 'rejected' my offer, you were 'rejecting' with sarcasm the chance to help the community you've just joined and in your other post you were having a pop at LEW, a service which you expect for free. Both Kato and I run our respective sites with our own time, our own money and our own effort and if you want to come along and criticise then you're going to run into a bit of a brick wall. Chill out, be nice and get along, that's all I'm asking for. The mystery 'rule' you seem to want to know about is 'be nice, play nice'. I will entertain no further discussion about this so don't post again on this subject or will recieve a warning and if you continue to cause, in my sole opinion, problems, you'll no longer be able to use the site. End of discussion. If you don't like it, go start your own Esprit website but please try to embrace the attitude of our other members and enjoy it here and get along. Mad Zero
I'm not angry Bibs, just bitterly disappointed that you've taken my innocent (and possibly naive) postings personally and invented all the attitude I am supposed to have as it has ruined my enjoyment of LEF which, I'm still prepared to say (because it's true), is easily the most comprehensive and accurate Esprit forum on the internet. However, I'm not prepared to be treated like this on ANY forum so please end my membership of LEF at your earliest convenience. Thanks to those members who contacted me privately - I respect your annonimity but at least I'm not going mad eh guys? Much appreciated guys, respect! bigsi
its a shame you chose not to read my post as it was intended, its not worth the hassle, and inevitable arguements etc. no need to tleave the forum, lets just brush it under the rug as a misunderstanding and have done. im sure you mature enough to do so, so why not take the first step and do so? it doesnt make you any less of a person, it makes you more of a person in my book, no-ones in the wrong as i said. let it be.. trust me things like this seem so insignificant against everything else. i for one would still shake your hand at a esprit meet as i would anyone elses. fancy a cuppa?
