I didn't see a bonnet in the pile of bits? Or radiators for that matter. Or light pods.

I'll stop now.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

There's a whole list of extremely costly bits missing. Anyone thinking of repairing that should think very carefully. @swindon_alan - how much do you reckon to repair chap ??

Only here once

It's the same guy that sold his Excel Celebration last week for £995.

That was also missing a front corner, bonnet and probably a straight chassis. Also owned for 20 years and not repaired...

Not worth starting anything now...🍺

A lot of cash (and space) tied up in two cars for all that time. Plus the sore ears...

Makes you wonder if he realised at the outset how much work they needed. He'd need a very long retirement to fix up both of them!

I was really tempted by the Celebration Excel at £995 (always wanted one since I sold my 1990 Excel SE) but I suspect it was too far gone to repair for less than I could buy one on the road. Anyway, now some chancer already has it back up for sale on eBay at £3k!

Not worth starting anything now...🍺

I know that it has finished now (sorry, been away on jollyday) and assuming that the previous owner had stockpiled all of the spares I don't think that you would get much change out of £15k as a minimum to get that finished to a good standard by a restorer.

I tempted fate...now my Esprit V8 IS in bits...(sob)

What value do you think the car is worth in its current state, my thoughts were about £5000 to £6000 due to what would still be required. Also seen a number of these cars up for £16000 which have not sold

Keep up!  Sorted that ages ago.

Anyhow, back (sorta) on topic:  I'll be working on a Commemorative in June.
